宮城・岩沼市で、ボランティアがトマトの苗を植えるツアーを企画しました。
宮城・岩沼市で、東京などから参加したボランティアが、トマトの苗を植えるツアーを企画しました。震災当時、畑にはキャベツやニンニクが植えられていましたが、津波で流されたり、塩害で枯れてしまっていました。そこで以前、塩害の被害に遭った熊本県で植えられたトマトが、小ぶりだが甘い、塩トマトとしてブランド化していることに目をつけたNPO(民間非営利団体)法人が、被災地の復興に役立つのではと企画されたイベント。参加した人は「楽しい。(どういうところが楽しい?)切るところとか」、「こういった新しい塩トマトとか、そういった名産を作っていただいて、そういうちょっとでも貢献できればなと思いますね」などと話しました。塩トマトの収穫は8月上旬から中旬の見込みで、被災地の特産品としても検討しているとのことです。
