Students from all over the world are trying to use mobile, PC, and gaming technology to solve problems in areas such as health and the environment.This year’s finalists in the annual Microsoft Imagine Cup in New York include a team trying to help visually impaired children read notes from the blackboard.Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer spoke to BBC technology reporter Ian Hardy about the aims of the competition.
