Gespräch vom 22.10.2009: Professor Karl M. Menten ist Direktor des Bereichs Millimeter und Submillimeter Astronomie am MPI für Radioastronomie. Die Forschungsgruppe untersucht unterschiedliche Phänomene im Universum, wie zum Beispiel kosmische Hintergrundstrahlung oder Molekülwolken in der Milchstraße. Dafür nutzt sie den Millimeter- und Submillimeterbereich des elektromagnetischen Spektrums.
