The Yankees might be showing signs of turning the corner on the season, as they are winners of 5 of their last 6 games heading into Tuesday’s action. Andy Pettitte is coming off a nice start last time out limiting the Mariners to just 2 runs and 8 hits over 6 innings while walking none. The lefty shut out the Orioles back on April 20th giving up just 4 hits over 7 innings. Sitting at .500 by Memorial Day may not be a bad thing for Oriole fans. Many had this team contending as the worst team in baseball this season. Right-hander Jeremie Guthrie has strung together many quality starts on the season. The Oriole starting pitcher has give up 3 runs or less in 9 of his last 10 starts this season. Baltimore has struggled offensively trending near the bottom of baseball averaging only 4 runs per game.
