Sydney sees big emissions cut with city energy plan
July 6 - Sydney, Australia’s biggest city with a population of four and a half million people, has announced plans to try and cut greenhouse gas emissions by 70 percent by 2030. The plans are fully supported by private business in the city and incorporate state-of-the-art technologies to harness sunlight and natural gas to run the central business district. Ben Gruber reports.
