Rally against coal gasification plant
A rally is being held in response to the proposed Leucadia coal gasification plant slated for Burley and 115th on the Southeast Side of Chicago. This plant will gasify coal and pet coke (the toxic waste from refining tar sands) through a chemical process to make Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG) to be pumped into local natural gas pipelines.
