Local baristas compete in a head-to-head latte art event called the Philly Thursday Night Throwdown or TNT. The event is held monthly at different coffee shops in the city. In November, 32 baristas entered the competition held at Bodhi Coffee with Kendra Sledzinski, of Spruce Street Espresso, taking the top honors. It was the second month in a row that a barista from that shop won the event.  December’s Throwdown will be held at Lovers and Madmen, 28 South 40th Street, Thursday, December 8, at 8pm.
