Improving Reading Vision
As we age our reading vision deteriorates and we develop presbyopia. There are a variety of options to correct the problem including glasses, which can be progressive lenses, bifocals, and contact lenses, which have the potential to improve our distance vision and reading vision at the same time by creating monovision. There are also surgical techniques, which can improve vision. In LASIK, or laser surgery, efforts are made to reshape the cornea. In CK, or conductive keratoplasty, the cornea is changed with radio-frequency energy.
