政府、IMF・世界銀行の年次総会を2012年秋に日本で開催する意向を正式表明へ
東日本大震災の復興に向けた取り組みをアピールするため、政府はIMF(国際通貨基金)と世界銀行の年次総会を2012年秋、日本で開催する方向で調整を進めており、20日に正式に表明することになった。IMF・世界銀行の年次総会は、3年に1度、アメリカ以外で開かれることになっており、2012年秋にはエジプトで開催される予定だった。しかし、政情不安による混乱の影響を受けて、開催地の見直しが行われており、政府は日本で開催する方向で調整を進めている。20日、正式に野田財務相が開催の意向を表明する方針。日本で開催されれば、1964年以来となる。
