TEDxSingapore - Coleman Yee - The Princess, the Witch, and the PowerPoint
Coleman Yee is interested in too many things. Previously an educator at a polytechnic and still an educator at heart, he has given talks and workshops on a dazzling array of topics, from programming to design thinking, from information architecture to photography, from social media to pedagogy, among many other things. He still fondly remembers his first ever talk — where he was rudely interrupted by a heckler who wanted him to hurry up, just as he reached the midpoint. During the day, Coleman is a Web Shaman at Digital Boomerang, helping government agencies improve their websites and do less evil online. At night, he catches up on his many interests (or at least he tries to, as he usually just falls asleep). He doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
