(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: August 12, 2010) Pakistan’s president Asif Ali Zardari had his first look at the devastating flooding in his country, amid criticism over the stalled government response to the crisis.  Aid continues to trickle in for the survivors. As the U.S. plans to pull out all its troops from Iraq by 2012, Iraqi troops are preparing to take over by working on their security training, including using bomb-sniffing dogs. In Egypt there is a controversial proposal to consolidate the traditional Muslim call to prayer.
