Blaming the foreigners
The E. coli outbreak in Europe, which has left 22 dead, now appears to have originated in Germany, and not in Spain, whose cucumbers were blamed last week. An instinct to blame foreigners and weak regulation are only two of the similarities with the financial crisis. Lex’s Richard Stovin-Bradford and John Authers discuss how the best cure may also be similar.
