HemiScope: Preview of Mexico Elections
UCSD’s director of Latin American Studies and other experts preview the Mexican presidential election which, for the first time, appears to be a real contest.  Francisco Labastida, the candidate for the long dominant PRI is facing tough competition from challenge Vincente Fox of the PAN. PRD candidate Cuauhtemoc Cardenas is running well behind in polls predicting the outcome of the July 2nd election. (#5097)
