Philips to Cut 500 Million Euros in Costs
Frans van Houten, chief executive officer of Royal Philips Electronics NV, discusses the company’s second-quarter loss of 1.34 billion euros ($1.88 billion) reported today.   Philips plans to cut an additional 500 million euros in costs after reporting its biggest loss in almost a decade. Van Houten speaks from Amsterdam with Owen Thomas on Bloomberg Television's "Countdown."
