Celebrating its 33rd anniversary, the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement is one of the premier awards honoring work in environmental science, energy and medicine of worldwide importance, and consists of a $200,000 cash award as well as a solid 10kt. gold medallion. The 2006 awards were conferred during a program on the USC campus on April 27, 2006 to Dr. David W. Schindler of the University of Alberta, and Dr. Igor A.Shiklomanaov of the State Hydrological Institute in St. Petersburg. One of the laureate lectures delivered that day was by Dr. Schindler titled "Effects of Humans on the Quality and Quantity of Freshwater". From the Series:USC Presents...
