The solar sector is seeing strong gains this afternoon after China’s Ministry of Finance said the government would begin to offer subsidies for independent solar power projects.  In instances where a project could be attached to the grid, the government would subsidize up to 50% of the investment costs, and in instances where the projects are in remote areas off the grid, the government would subsidize up to 70% of the investment costs.
