Family Healthcast: Prostate Cancer Test 2/26/09
Scientests have developed a urine test that may substantially improve the diagnosis of prostate cancer. This test screens for 2 genes that fuse together which occurs in about half of prostate cancer patients. Researchers have found that the urine test was better at predicting whether or not cancer was there compared to the normal PSA test.
