John Murdoch (Rufus Sewell) struggles with memories of his past, including a wife (Jennifer Connelly) he cannot remember, in a nightmarish world with no sun, and run by beings (known as ‘the Strangers’) with telekinetic powers who seek the souls of humans. William Hurt is the evil Detective hunting him down, and Kiefer Sutherland is the doctor helping him stay one step ahead of his adversaries.
