JAPAN DOCTORS FEAR HEALTH CRISIS
Fuel shortages, icy rain, and power outages are hampering recovery efforts, but relief workers are reporting some progress as mangled roads are reopened and new homes are built. Many of the sick and weak sleep on the floor — and with lingering winter cold, doctors fear an influenza epidemic could be lethal especially among the frail and elderly.
