The two families are planning a surprise birthday party for Mrs. Bumble.  Everyone has a role: Freddy will acquire a gift while Barker, Henrietta and the children take care of the cake and decorations. Keeping the party a secret becomes increasingly difficult, because Mrs. Bumble is anxious to put the tea on! The party is a success and Mrs. Bumble is delighted with her surprise.
