Distressed that her husband finds race horses more interesting than her after 10 years of marriage, Princess Lucia (Monica Vitti) persuades her bodyguard to pretend he’s a rival lover in this Italian comedy based on a play by Aldo de Benedetti. But when the bodyguard's girlfriend unexpectedly arrives on the scene, Princess Lucia's plan to arouse her husband's jealously suddenly becomes more complicated.
