Volunteers and friends from the Grace Pearson Scholarship Hall held a bake sale on Wescoe Beach Tuesday afternoon. The bake sale is the first of many plans by the hall to raise money for the hurricane survivors. Some even plan to donate plasma to help relief efforts. Their goal is to raise $1,000, and early Tuesday morning they already raised $120. Resident Rob Ryan, who came up the idea to raise money for the city of New Orleans, said the student support reflects of human nature.
