Delta Dancers' Video Synopsis — Delta Dancers is a screenplay by Paul Gennaro, based on the biography Willie the Wisp and the racial identity and classification trails of the 1950s.  Ralph Dupas and Willie Pastrano, natives of New Orleans, friends, boxers; the Delta Dancers embarked on a long hard journey to become world champions, a journey filled with secrets, drugs, mob control and racial classification. During the struggling years of the great depression, two best friends, Willie Pastrano and Ralph Dupas operate a small shoeshine stand on Bourbon Street, in the heart of New Orleans French Quarter. However, when a local Irish priest chooses to help them, Willie and Ralph grow to become boxing champions. Throughout their journey, the friends must deal with drug addiction, betrayal, mafia-ties and the New Orleans racially charged court system. All the while, the men are fighting to keep a shared secret, which could destroy them both, professionally and personally.
