Pokemon Episode 19 (Japanese Version)
Menokurage and Dokukurage Air Date: August 5, 1997 This episode is widely considered to be one of the most violent Pokemon episodes, because of it’s use of many military weapons (machine guns, rocket launchers, tanks, etc.) This episode was banned after 9/11 because there are scenes where the giant Tentacruel (Dokukurage) and the hundreds of Tentacool (Menokurage) are attacking and destroying buildings. However, this was thrown back into rotation after Cartoon Network started to air episodes of the original series. Imagine if this episode was produced today- it would definitely be banned and probably would cancel the anime series of Pokemon.
