Team Process Leadership
The skills critical to success in business today go far beyond those of an MBA. In this program, UW Professor Seferis discusses an educational methodology he’s developed. It's along the lines of how an orchestra is managed and directed by its conductor to play a known or sometimes new symphony. Like the conductor, he uses guest soloists while he maintains the overall coordination and execution. However, unlike the orchestra where the audience members are passive participants, Seferis has devised a methodology where the audience members (the students) are participating players that have a chance to influence and own the knowledge being created. Through a unique but proven teaming methodology and processes that range from the physical to the philosophical world, Seferis is utilizing modern telecommunication and information technology to bring to his students integrated knowledge in both depth and breadth. The focus is on creating the next generation of leadership in business, engineering, politics, and the social sciences by bringing together different age groups, specialties, and cultures.
