Election being held in Israel.
Israel voted Tuesday in a tight race between hawkish former premier Benjamin Netanyahu and centrist Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, with the far-right set for major gains on the back of the Gaza war. Benjamin Netanyahu, Leader of Likud Party, “It’ll be a big day; we'll have a good victory. Thank you. Goodbye!" Tzipi Livni, Leader of Kadima Party, “First, people must get out of their homes. Whether it’s raining or not, whether it’s cold or warm, people have got to go to the polling station, to the polling booth. People shouldn’t think about their fears and despair; people should think of hope and what everyone wants to feel on the evening of the results." Avigdor Lieberman, Leader of Yisrael Beitenu Party, “There are lots of parties who are spending their time talking but there’s also one party which is actually doing something, doing more than just talking."
