Liberals MPs David McGuinty and Francis Scarpaleggia discuss a parliamentary committee report on water quality and the Alberta tar sands. Members of the Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources release their report on Canada’s offshore oil and gas exploration and development industry. The study began after this spring’s BP disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and focused on federal rules and regulations. Justice Minister Rob Nicholson speaks along with Sue O’Sullivan, the new federal ombudsman for victims of crime, in Ottawa.
