Staff raising funds by collecting unwanted phones
Since this little bundle of fur was born in Prague Zoo last month, it’s become something of a celebrity in the Czech capital. But instead of cashing in, staff at the zoo are trying to raise money to protect gorillas in the wild, still hunted for their meat, or as trophies. And this is how theyre doing it by collecting unwanted mobile phones for recycling. Each handset makes 40 cents. The money goes towards a UN-listed gorilla reserve in Cameroon, protected by around 60 so-called "eco-guards".
