Während die Internationale Staatengemeinschaft die Gewalt in Libyen einhellig verurteilt, hält Venezuelas Präsident Hugo Chavez weiter zu Muammar al-Gaddafi. Er werde "ihn nicht aus der Ferne verurteilen. Das wäre feige gegenüber jemandem, der mein Freund, unser Freund war über lange Zeit. Und das alles ohne wirklich zu wissen, was dort in Libyen vor sich geht."
