Comcast Cable plans to shut-down local “Live” community television in Wilmington, Delaware. Community leaders and residents speak out against Comcast Cable and the monopoly grip the corporation has on the future of technology in the city. Minority leaders in Wilmington, Delaware verbalize their concern against Comcast Cable during the franchise renewal process. Kevin Broadhurst of Comcast Cable stated no additional boxes would be needed to view community cable television as Comcast Cable scrambled the signal to local community “Live” Leased Access Television Channel and required residents to have digital boxes to view community television. City Council Member Stephanie Bolden asked Kevin Broadhurst of Comcast Cable “if there were any changes to “Live” leased access television."
