8 black Ranchus imported from Thailand. Setup in a 55 gallon tank. I’ve let the green algae grow in the tank to mimic the pond environment they originally were in back in Thailand. Hopefully the full spectrum light from the sun will help the ranchus maintain their black color. They are currently 2.5" long. I will post updates as they grow. I've installed a sponge foam at the bottom of the AquaClear 500 filter intake tube to prevent injuries from the strong suction. There is also an AquaClear 70 powerhead with a HydroSponge IV for added aeration. Note: I do not own the song "How To Save a Life" by The Fray.
