アメフットの日本代表と米ノートルダム大学の卒業生で結成されたチーム・レジェンズが対戦するノートルダム・ジャパン・ボウル２００９が７月２５日、東京ドームで開催された。試合は１９―３でレジェンズが勝った。 日本代表は第１クオーター、フィールドゴールで３点を先制したが、レジェンズのランプレーを主体とした攻撃に終始圧倒され、二つのタッチダウンとＴＦＰなどを喫した。日本代表はパスで攻めるもつながらず、タッチダウンを奪うことができなかった。 ＭＶＰ（最優秀選手）はレジェンズのＲＢジェイ・ビッカーズ選手、ＭＩＰ（もっとも印象に残った選手）には日本代表のＷＲ秋山武史選手が選ばれた。
