Haitians Remember Year after Devastating Earthquake
January 12 marked the first anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti, one of the worst catastrophe’s in the Western hemisphere. Hundreds of thousands of people died and much of the country is still in ruins. Schools closed and shops opened late across the country Wednesday as many took time to honor the dead and remember. VOA's Jeff Swicord reports on some of the memorial services in Port-au-Prince.
