The Party in the Garden, June 10, 2008, honored Donald B. Marron and Mike Nichols.  This annual event benefits the Museum’s general operating fund, helping to make possible our award-winning educational programs and the care, study, and exhibition of our collection. Attendees included Diane Sawyer, Marie-Josée and Henry Kravis, Mayor Bloomberg, Diane von Furstenberg, Chuck Close, Hugh Dancy and Claire Danes. Following a seated dinner for 1,000 guests, an after party took place in the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden with performances by recording artist M.I.A and LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and Pat Mahoney. The event was co-chaired by Agnes Gund, Marie-Josée Kravis and Jo Carole Lauder and was sponsored by The Wall Street Journal and Möet Hennessy USA.
