A German association claiming to represent the interests of Germans expelled from territories east of the borders of modern Germany after the Second World War has been in the headlines a lot recently.The government refused to accept the president of the expellees association, Erika Steinbach, on the board of a Berlin foundation documenting the fate of expellees around the world, but with a special focus on German expellees.
