アメリカの人気テレビドラマシリーズ「刑事コロンボ」の主役として、日本でも人気を集めたアメリカの俳優、ピーター・フォーク氏が死去した。83歳だった。フォーク氏は、1950年代に俳優として注目され、1960年代後半からはテレビドラマシリーズ「刑事コロンボ」の主役として人気を集めた。さえない風貌ながら鋭い推理で犯人を追いつめる演技や、「うちのかみさんが...」といったせりふは日本でも親しまれた。晩年はアルツハイマー病で闘病生活を送っていたが、23日にロサンゼルスの自宅で息を引き取った。
