Jill Franken, Public Health Director, gave an update on the proposed changes to the Family Day Care Home Ordinance and upcoming day care inspection resources for parents. In addition, February is National School-Based Health Awareness Month. The history and accomplishments of the Health Department’s partnership with the Sioux Falls School District to provide primary health care within Hawthorne and Terry Redlin Elementary schools, was shared. Mayor Huether was also be in attendance and discussed topics including the locations a proposed events center.
