Shot 06/29/2011.## MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Public Schools is eliminating 519 positions.   Dr. Gregory Thornton announced late Wednesday afternoon that 354 of the positions being cut are teaching jobs and the other 165 are other staff. The layoffs will be effective Friday.
