This cucco was not harmed. She is my pet and I love her. Apparently you can hypnotize a chicken/cucco by laying it down, holding down its head and drawing a line in front of its beak. It becomes focused on this line and will lay there for quite some time. My cuccos are very tame so this was not so much hypnotizing as it was the cucco trusting me enough to lay down and stay there. I think I need to invest in a bigger tripod! My head keeps getting cut off!
