Defense Saving $400 Billion May Mean More Troop Cuts
June 23 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. military will likely shed more troops than currently planned to meet President Barack Obama\u2019s goal of cutting $400 billion in national-security spending through fiscal 2023, according to a Bloomberg Government study.   Defense analyst Robert Levinson concludes in his study, "Pentagon’s $400 Billion Reduction Likely Means Job Cuts," that troop reductions are the most direct way to lower workforce costs.
