Herbert "Tico" Braun relates the story of his brother-in-law, an American businessman, who was kidnapped while on a business trip to Colombia.  He discusses how it affected family members and friends in the U.S. and Colombia. While Braun negotiated with the guerrilla kidnappers, his brother-in-law decided to starve himself.
