八達通公司稱將讓市民選擇是否接收推廣訊息
八達通公司否認出售客戶資料予第三者，強調收集的資料，是為了方便確認乘客使用轉乘優惠。 公司說，八達通卡所記載的資料，部份會由八達通公司及商戶互通，例如購物時的交易日期及金額，不過，身份證號碼、出生日期等個人資料，商戶是不知道。 八達通公司話，計劃在年底推出措施，讓市民在填寫「日日賞」或個人八達通申請表時，選擇是否接收商戶推廣訊息，或填寫個人資料。
