Prof Logan discusses the aspirin and folic acid supplement trial that was published last year. The trial looked at aspirin and folic acid supplements for preventing colorectal adenoma recurrence in people who already had an adenoma removed. The trial showed by taking aspirin there was a risk reduction of about one third in developing a recurrent colorectal adenoma. However Folic acid had no effect.
