In Committee from the House of Commons House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology (September 10, 2010) MPs discussed the permanent closure of AbitibiBowater’s paper mills in Gatineau and Dolbeau-Mistassini. It hopes to exit from the court protection in October. Part 3 Committee members heard from the following witnesses: Jean-Pierre Boivin from the Regional County Municipality of Maria-Chapdelaine (Quebec); Yves Lachapelle from the Quebec Forest Industry Council; Justine Hendricks from Export Development Canada; and Don Stephenson from the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
