Unemployment - can private sector hire enough?
The UK’s coalition government is hoping that the private sector will hire enough extra staff to employ the bulk of the 400,000 or so public sector workers expected to lose their jobs in the austerity cuts. Brian Groom, UK business and employment editor, discusses with Sarah Neville, how realistic that aspiration is, whether the public sector employees are attractive to private companies, and how different regions will cope.
