Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - Arcade
In honor of the new Indiana Jones movie, here's some game play from the 1985 Atari arcade game. The game used a joystick and one button, used for the whip. You could get three lives for a quarter, or seven for fifty cents, and you could choose the starting difficulty level for a point bonus. The game mostly followed the locations from the movie, and the main point was to run around a free enslaved children and gather Sankara stones in between levels. If you moved too slowly Mola Ram, the villain from the movie, would appear and throw flaming hearts at you. The game was fairly popular, anecdotally I can attest that it ate up a bunch of my quarters, and it was also notable in that it had voice samples.
