吉爾吉斯臨時政府授權士兵可向襲擊者開槍
吉爾吉斯南部騷亂未有平息跡象，至少77人死亡，超過1000人受傷。臨時政府簽署法令，授權士兵可為了自衞和保護平民，向襲擊者開槍，希望盡快平息騷亂。 臨時政府早前要求俄羅斯派遣維和部隊到當地，協助恢復秩序。 但俄羅斯表示，奧什地區騷亂是吉爾吉斯內部衝突，俄國目前不打算向吉爾吉斯派遣維和部隊，但會提供人道援助。 總統梅德韋杰夫建議，星期一召開獨聯體集體安全條約組織相關會議，討論共同應對吉爾吉斯騷亂的措施。
