NextFest: Seeing the future in LA
The annual four-day WIRED NextFest festival, held this year in Los Angeles, aims to provide a realistic view of the future through innovative products and technologies. Some 160 interactive exhibits were on display at this year's WIRED NextFest. Among the trends for 2007 are robotics that are becoming more lifelike. The Google Lunar X Prize was also announced during the festival's first day, with the first private company to land a robot on the moon that sends a picture back to earth winning 20 million dollars (USD).
