警方破賭博集團檢1.7億投注紀錄 數額歷來最大
警方破獲歷來涉及最大金額的非法賭波和賭馬集團，檢獲約值1億7千萬投注紀錄，拘捕4人，包括集團主腦和骨幹成員。 警方相信，集團運作超過半年，總部設在九龍灣宏泰道一個工業中心單位，牆上裝有24個顯示屏，由6台電腦控制，估計是用作監察收受賭注情況。 有組織罪案及三合會調查科總督察吳偉漢說，集團利用九龍灣的單位作為操控中心，並在佐敦的時鐘酒店租房收受賭注，其間不時換房逃避警方追查。 他又說，警方會繼續調查，不排除再有人被捕。
