Chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken’s, often called Two Hot Tamales, are fun duo-team of chefs.  I love playful bickering and banter as they prepare some exciting recipes. Their first restaurant Border Grill in Santa Monica has been a long time favourite of mine after a fun time of shopping the great boutiques in this area. Their downtown LA location Cuidad, features bold, seductive flavors and foods of the Latin world, from Havana to Rio and Buenos Aires, and across the Atlantic to Lisbon and Barcelona. They have a fun-value cocktail time with amazing small plates. I love their outdoor front patio which is always a fun place to have a drink and watch the craziness of LA. It is located just across from the Hyatt where I usually stay, and just around the corner from the ever popular Hilton, and just a few blocks from the LA Convention Center. I admit I have never eaten an entre at Cuidad, as I love the small plates-my kind of eating-tasting and tasting. These chefs are dead serious about doing their part for sustainability including folowing the guidelines of the Seafood Watch list and guidelines from Monterey Bay Aquarium.
